Mass celebrated with Father Rojan and the community at Salesian College, Oakleigh

Saturday 1 April 2017

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Gospel we have just read speaks of various reactions to Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour. There are those who cannot believe Christ would come from Galilee; there was conflict with the authorities, they were wanting to pass judgement on Jesus. However, our faith says that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God, our Lord and Redeemer.

Celebration of the second form of the Rite of Penance for the priests of the Archdiocese at Holy Cross Monastery, Templestowe

Tuesday 28 March 2017

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today we are preparing together to celebrate the beautiful Sacrament of reconciliation and forgiveness.

We come to Jesus, who looks not on our sin but on our need for forgiveness and peace. With perfect trust in Our Lord, we come before him.

Solemn Mass of Easter Sunday celebrated at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Melbourne

Sunday 16 April 2017

“You must have heard about the recent happenings, about Jesus of Nazareth ….. we can witness to everything he did throughout the countryside of Judea and in Jerusalem.”
(Cf. Acts 10:37.39)

My dear Brothers and Sisters,

These are the words which the apostle, Peter, a witness to the resurrection of Christ, addressed to the centurion, Cornelius, and his household. Today, the witnesses speak out. The women who ran to the tomb, the apostles, Peter and John, Paul of Tarsus, the many missionaries and saints who have given to the world their awareness that Christ is risen. On the strength of this unending testimony the Church has grown and is now spread throughout the world, even in our own century.
