ST PATRICK'S Cathedral was built largely from the generosity of the Irish immigrants to Victoria between 1801 and 1900, and they brought with them a particular spirituality and a love for St Patrick, which is evident in the imagery within the Cathedral.

AT 12PM each day, when the Angelus rings out from the high bell tower of St Ignatius’ church in Richmond, the surrounding houses and streets on the steep slopes of Richmond Hill seem transformed in spirit into a Medieval European town, perhaps in France, clustering in the shadow of its cathedral.
