LIFE Teen is a Catholic youth ministry organisation which originated in Arizona in 1985.

Although based in the United States, there are more than 1500 Life Teen programs running in more than 30 countries worldwide, including Australia. Life Teen began as a parish ministry focussed on the Mass and gathering young people together at a ‘Life Night’ each Sunday.

With the motto, ‘Leading Teens Closer to Christ’, Life Teen aims to guide teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with God through the Eucharist and Mass. Furthermore, the program is oriented towards creating a parish environment where Catholic teenagers feel supported and nourished outside of Sunday Mass through fellowship and engaging catechesis.

Life Teen International supports Catholic parishes around the world through ongoing formation opportunities and access to valuable resources. These include catechetical series on topics including the Mass, morality, Sacred Scripture, social justice and theology of the body. Each of these guides contains a series of ‘Life Night’ plans including games, talks, small group questions and prayers.

The official Life Teen website,, contains a blog with five different ‘feeds’: Faith, Prayer, Relationships, Life and Culture. The blogs include apologetics, powerful personal testimonies, advice and tips for tackling life issues and living out the faith as a teenager.

You can view some valuable digital resources on the website and on their YouTube channel, although access to some resources requires a subscription. Youth leaders can also access resources on
