ANYONE looking for a beautifully crafted, positive and practical response to the recent synod on the family would be hard pressed to find a resource that more eloquently meets the needs of the Church at this point in time than this brief volume, Love Is Our Mission.

The book is a series of 10 short chapters or catecheses in preparation for the World Meeting of Families (to be held in Philadelphia in September 2015). It is an excellent resource for any family, parish group or ecclesial community that wants to better understand the role of both the family and the local community in responding to the needs of our times. Discussion questions follow each chapter, which would prove a useful tool in helping people consider practical responses to the needs they see around them—their own circumstances and those of their friends, family and work colleagues.
