Despite initial concerns about her future, Melissa has not only survived but thrived. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work and is a wife, mother and founder of  For Olivia's Sake, an organisation which seeks to peacefully raise awareness of the intergenerational impact of abortion on men, women, children, families and communities. Opening and blessing of St Therese Church Torquay

A revitalised St Therese Church in Torquay was recently opened and blessed by Archbishop Denis Hart. The new church, which includes Lisieux Place community centre, has been extended to cope with both holiday periods and special occasions. The Archbishop was welcomed by Fr Linh Tran, who is the present Parish Priest of Nazareth Parish, Grovedale which includes Torquay and Anglesea.
