Sacred Heart Kew 120th anniversary

Kairos: Volume 21, Issue 12 The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart fell on 14 June in 1890 and on that date Fr Patrick Fallon was made the very first parish priest of Sacred Heart Parish in Kew. Until then the Jesuit Fathers had looked after the Kew area. However, Archbishop Carr decided to move Kew into the care of the diocesan clergy and leave Richmond and Hawthorn in the care of the Jesuits.
