COURSE ON CATHOLIC DOCTRINE: UNDERSTANDING THE FAITH
Every first and third Tuesday, 6.15–7.15pm. Next session Tuesday 6 February
Caroline Chisholm Library, 358 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne (near Elizabeth Street)
Having concluded a recent 20-week philosophy course, John Young is now presenting a course on Catholic doctrine, ‘Understanding the Catholic faith’. This course is being conducted the first and third Tuesday of each month, resuming in February. It began in late 2017, but participants are welcome to join the course at any time as it continues into 2018. Highly recommended for non-Catholics with an interest in the Catholic faith, and for all Catholics seeking to renew and refresh their understanding of the Church’s teachings. Those taking part will need a copy of Fr John Hardon SJ's book Catechism of the Catholic Church, a book which discusses all the main doctrines and moral teachings of the Catholic Church. John Young holds a Bachelor of Theology from the Aquinas Academy in Sydney, has taught philosophy in four seminaries, and is author of three books.
