New CEO of CatholicCare

Today Archbishop Denis Hart and the Board of CatholicCare Melbourne and Gippsland announced the appointment of Ms Netty Horton to the position of Chief Executive Officer of CatholicCare.
 
Ms Horton has an MA in Public Policy, is a Churchill Fellowship recipient, a Graduate of AICD, and has had vast community and not-for-profit experience, and has served on many Boards and Committees in this area.
 
Under her leadership, CatholicCare will continue to search out areas of growth, enhance current services and create opportunities for partnerships within the sector and beyond.
 
In her new role, Ms Horton will draw on her valuable experience gained from her previous employment positions, including: Territorial Social Programmes Director for the Salvation Army, Southern Territory, General Manager of Community Services, St Vincent de Paul’s Aged Care & Community Services, CEO, Council of Homeless persons.
 
Ms Horton has also been Chair, Ministerial Advisory Committee on Homelessness, member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Homelessness, and member of the Federal Government Aged Care Sector Committee.
 
The Archdiocese welcomes Ms Horton to this important role, as CatholicCare strives to be a leader in the sector and in the Church. She will commence as CEO in November.
