What a beautiful Melbourne day to see over 150 senior school leaders from over 30 schools gather at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College for the Archbishop’s Conversation with Student Leaders! This year we took inspiration from the Year of Youth’s theme of Open New Horizons for Spreading Joy as the Archbishop shared his personal testimony with the students and encourage the students, ‘don’t be afraid to make mistakes’ and to ‘show to the world the reason for the hope that is in you.’

After the Archbishop shared his testimony, Justine Cumbo inspired the students and challenged them to ‘let God into their life and let Him show you who you are.’ She urged them to share the gifts of who they were with each other and to do it with joy. The students them shared their thoughts on the morning talks and after lunch, the Archbishop answered questions in a forum with the students before being blessed and sent on out into their school and home communities.
The Archbishop’s Conversation with Student Leaders is an opportunity for the Archbishop to directly dialogue with students and gather their thoughts and ideas in preparation for the Pentecost Letter to Young People.
