WESTERN SPIRITUALITY IN THE PUB
WESTERN SPIRITUALITY IN THE PUB: SOUTH SUDENESE –
ENRICHING OUR COUNTRY?
Tuesday 20 March, 7.30pm
Club Italia, 128–152 Furlong Road, St Albans
There have been lots of negative media reports about South Sudanese young
people, particularly in the Western suburbs, as well as some negative comments
made by federal politicians. Some young people have behaved in unacceptable ways.
For this first Western Spirituality in the Pub session this year, speakers
on the topic will be Tut Gordon Tut and Daniel Ajak, who will open up
conversation that may well broaden insights and perceptions and perhaps balance
some of the things we may have seen and read. Tut was born in Ethiopia after
his family left South Sudan due to civil war and currently works as a lawyer at
Victoria Legal Aid. Daniel currently works as a criminal defence lawyer at Papa
Hughes Lawyers. He was also born in Ethiopia after his parents fled to Kenya.

Talks begin at 7.30pm, dinner is from 6pm. The event will end by 9pm.
