WORKSHOP: MINISTRY OF COMMUNION TO THE SICK
Thursday 9 August, 11am–1.30pm (registration from 10.30am)
Cathedral Room, Cardinal Knox Centre, 383 Albert Street, East Melbourne
Ministers of Communion to the Sick (i.e. the frail, the housebound and those in temporary or residential care) represent both Christ and the local faith community. This workshop will explore the spiritual, liturgical and pastoral dimensions of the ministry for anyone engaged in this vital service of pastoral care and outreach. The workshop will be presented by Rev. Monsignor Tony Ireland (Episcopal Vicar for Health, Aged and Disability Care). It is ideal for parish volunteers seeking refreshment formation, those interested in joining the ministry and anyone currently working in the pastoral chaplaincy field. Please note: interested participants are requested to seek authorisation from their parish priest prior to registration.
Cost: $20 (including lunch and materials)
