I am still trying to come to terms with the fact that the Victorian Parliament has decriminalised abortion up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, and that it has done so on my behalf, but without consulting me.

Recently a prominent Melbourne cleric was in the media repudiating most of the major tenets of belief to which the Judeo-Christian world has been committed for thousands of years. However, he is not the first nor will he be the last of the occupants of the pulpit to go down that path.

Silence is worth seeking

Some time ago, a mother shared her anxiety with me. With genuine concern she expressed the worry about how her son, who spent much of his life with music blaring in his ear, was going to cope with the exam silence that would go on for three hours.
