Leading parishes through this time of crisis

Wednesday 22 April 2020

Mission Team

How can we lead positively and creatively through these times, when so many of the things we normally do as a parish have been suspended? The swiftness with which our lives have changed over the last few weeks is extraordinary. It is not surprising that some of us find ourselves adrift in this ‘new normal’. So much has changed, and so many of the ‘ordinary’ ways of operating are not currently possible because of government restrictions and because we want to keep the most vulnerable in our community safe. As a church, we have responded to increasingly tighter restrictions, made many enforced changes and negotiated a unique Easter Triduum. Where to now? As a parish team, what seeds can you sow now, in order to ensure a powerful, mission-focused re-emergence?

Catholic Education Creative Arts: Digital exhibition

Wednesday 22 April 2020

Catholic Education Melbourne

Catholic Education Melbourne’s Creative Arts Exhibition has gone online as a digital experience, as voting for the People’s Choice Award opens. 2020 has been a record year for the number of entries received from schools to participate in the Creative Arts Exhibition. Over 650 artworks were submitted by 147 schools, presenting the curators with a highly challenging task to choose the exceptional works which would be exhibited. The Creative Arts Exhibition is a celebration of the artistic and creative talents and achievements of our students and their dedicated teachers, and is a key opportunity to shine a light on the importance of the Arts within the curriculum.
