A better path to care for people with severe disabilities

THE average age of people living in residential aged care in Australia is 85 years. But about 6500 younger Australians—aged under 65—also live in such residences.
 
The community affairs committee of the Australian Senate is at present inquiring into the accommodation available to young people who have complex needs. Catholic Social Services Victoria (CSSV) has made a submission to this inquiry.
