HELPING parishes strengthen their support for asylum seekers was the focus of a forum at Catholic Social Services Victoria on Friday 21 November. Twenty-three parishes and several social services agencies took part in what was the next step in the Welcome the Asylum Seeker Parish Support Program.

Agencies represented on the day included the Australian Catholic Migrant and Refugee Office and their Melbourne affiliate, Baptcare, the Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project, CatholicCare, Edmund Rice Community and Refugee Services, Jesuit Social Services and the St Vincent de Paul Society.
