ACU Melbourne is looking to host a screening of the film Summer in the Forest, which focuses on the great Jean Vanier’s work.
The film, Summer in the Forest, is a documentary that tells the moving of Jean Vanier and of L’Arche, the international organization of which he is the founder.
Vanier single-handedly revolutionised the way in which people with an intellectual disability are seen and cared for, by the simple act of inviting them out of institutions and into his home in the 1960s.
‘Meeting’ some of the current residents of that home in Trosly, France, is one of the many highlights of this beautiful film.
The screening will take place on Thursday 25 July, 2:30pm at ACU, Melbourne St Patrick’s Campus, Cathedral Hall (Room 405.G.10).
Enough tickets must be sold to ensure this screening goes ahead. If it doesn't happen, those funds will be refunded. To purchase tickets, click here
