Ahead of the Jesuit Mission’s Indian Bazaar fundraiser, held on Saturday 15 September, Shane Healy sat down with Fr Bob Slattery SJ and Fr Santosh Minj SJ.

Fr Bob, one of the earliest Jesuit priests to travel to India, attended the Indian Bazaar alongside Hazaribag’s Provincial Superior, Fr Santosh.

The bazaar presented Fr Bob an opportunity to return to his country of birth and give thanks to the Australian Jesuit community whose support has been fundamental in providing education for thousands of children.

Shane’s discussion with the two lively Jesuits explores the challenges and rewards of working in Hazaribag, the journey the Jesuits have taken and what the future holds for the regions children.
