St Elizabeth’s Parish, 107 Baker Rd, Dandenong North Australian Nativity Scene (ANS) welcomes to celebrate viewing the traditional and stunning nativity scene in its sixteenth year. Wilson Fernandez has been creating wonderful display and is regarded as one of Australia’s best nativity. It has steadily grown into the largest of its kind in Australia. Wilson artistically creates the village and township with handmade huts, stables, buildings, bridges, palaces, houses and temples surrounded by mountains, rocks, lakes and rivers. Each week the nativity scene conveys the story of Christmas. It features scenes starting with Mary and Joseph looking for a place to stay, finding only a stable free, the birth of Jesus, visits from the shepherds, the three kings and ends with the holy family fleeing to Egypt. This event is open to everyone—children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Melway 81A8.
Cost: Free and open to all age groups. Children are to be accompanied by an adult/guardian/parents
