“Everyone Leads: A seminar for parish pastoral
Thursday 5 September, 9.30am - 3.15pm @ Catholic
Leadership Centre, East Melbourne
Drawing on decades of leadership experience, bestselling US
author Chris Lowney will examine the profound challenges facing the global
Catholic Church, share real-life stories of Catholics making a difference, and
offer practical suggestions for change. Chris will not only outline the
challenges but also map the path forward. Incorporating two decades of
change-management experience to propose an “EASTeR” strategy of five
transformational principles: be entrepreneurial, be accountable, serve,
transform, and reach out. These five ideas can catalyse profound change in
every parish, outlining how these strategies anyone can employ—from the pews to
the pulpit—to strengthen the church.
Chris is a noted author and speaker on leadership and
Ignatian spirituality. He is vice chair of CommonSpirit Health, the largest
non-profit health system in the US. Everyone Leads, his recent book on
revitalisation of the Church, builds on the Ignatian principle that everyone
exercises a leadership role.
