IS THERE A FUTURE FOR “NATURAL THEOLOGY”? EVOLUTION, COOPERATION AND THE QUESTION OF GOD
Monday 18 February, 6pm with refreshments afterward
115 Victoria Parade, Fitzroy – Christ Lecture Theatre Rm 404.G.12

In the lecture, Sarah Coakley is concerned with the way that evolution has been considered in the last generation as ‘selfishly’-oriented genetically, yet devoid of either positive meaning or discernible structure. Her lecture calls into question the idea that evolution has a competitively ‘selfish’ system. It explores the possibility of human altruism.
