KRISTALLNACHT CANTATA: A Voice of Courage

Sunday 8 December, 7pm

Honouring the 81st anniversary of the Kristallnacht protest by Indigenous rights leader William Cooper.

 The program includes an introduction to the story that inspired the Cantata, a performance by the Indigenous choir, Yeng Gali Mullum, and an addition orchestral piece by Cantata composter, AlonTrigger: Cantillations, inspired by traditional Torah melodies.

 The World Premiere of The Kristallnacht Cantata – A Voice of Courage, will be performed by a 29-piece orchestra, 10-voice choir, featuring Jewish tenor Asher Reichman (playing Otto Jontof-Hutter), Aboriginal opera singer, Don Bemrose (laying William Cooper) and John Wayne Parsons (speaking the dialogue of William Cooper).
