As events and opportunities to gather within the Archdiocese continue to press on throughout 2019, we look ahead to October which will see the fourth national Australian Pastoral Musicians Network conference, Listen to the Spirit and Sing, arrive in Melbourne.

The conference celebrates ‘liturgical, catechetical and religious music in parishes, schools and beyond’. Listen to the Spirit and Sing is an opportunity for; musicians, cantors, conductors, composers, choristers, teachers, catechists, campus ministers, clergy and liturgy teams to come together and witness keynotes from Tony Alonso and Diana Macalintal as well as numerous workshops.

Ahead of the conference, Co-ordinator for Adult Faith Formation at the Archbishop’s Office for Evangelisation, Mary Ryan, sat down with Melbourne Catholic’s Shane Healy to discuss how the event is taking shape and what the future holds for Melbourne’s pastoral music landscape.
