Melbourne's newest Deacons have been ordained in a beautiful ceremony in St Patrick's Cathedral. Their ordinations took place this week on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Royden D'Souza, Nathan Rawlins, Trac Nguyen and Andrew Choi were ordained by Most Rev Peter A Comensoli DD, the new Archbishop of Melbourne.

The three new deacons, pictured above, were joined by permanent deacon, Royden D'Souza.
Deacons bring God's word to believer and unbeliever alike; they preside over public prayer, baptise, assist at marriages and funerals, they minister in schools, the military, prisons, ports, hospitals and diocesan agencies.
Congratulations to permanent deacon Royden D'Souza and transitional deacons Nathan Rawlins, Trac Nguyen and Andrew Choi on their ordinations.
